Family Session Christmas Weekend!
I know it has been a long time since I posted last, but here is a recent session with a college friend of my husband's and his family. There are many more, but these are just some of the highlights!
Our friend with his dad and sister. I just love it when my subjects stay nice and still!
Moving onto the kids. They did really well but this little guy wasn't giving up many smiles for me. I think he just wanted to go play with my kids!
Mats finally got his emotions going when his Papa started to play with him. I love this shot and how his little hand is gently touching his papa's face. Can I get an "awwwwwwww."
Miss Natalie sat still for a couple shots but was on the move after that!
And Alicia. She did great but liked looking everywhere but the camera! Here is one where I gained eye contact and a smile at the same time! Wahooooo!

Fabulous Fall Session!
Meet Austin! He was full of energy but in general very cooperative and fun to work with! We were lucky to get this session done between rain the evening before and high winds later in the day. The overcast sky produced some nice soft lighting and I could have kept shooting all day!!!

Jacob's Senior Portraits
Jacob was a great subject and we had lots of fun in the alleys behind the Uptown mall in Richland! My husband was there to assist and we both enjoyed hearing about Jacob's plans to become an officer in the Marines! Since my husband and I are both former Army officers (my husband going through West Point and I through ROTC) it was nice to be able to share our experiences with him.
So when Jacob showed up in a striped shirt I have to admit I was a bit wary of the combination. I always suggest solid color clothes b/c it keeps the attention on the face in a portrait. But Jacob's outfit definitely grew on me throughout the session and worked very well, I think, on the red-tiled wall.
Here is a sneak peak for Jacob and his family. I look forward to showing them the rest this week!

Jumping Ahead!
Well there is more to share from my big road trip in August, but let me post some updates from a few recent sessions! This little cutie is Faith and she was a MOVER! She is only 8-months old but she was already crawling and definitely not interested in sitting still for her portrait!!! I think we still managed to do pretty well and got some definite keepers. We did the session at Faith's grandma's house and there was the cutest little dog there. Macy was adorable and I was happy to get a few quick portraits of her as well!

Next stop on the Road Trip!
Well, after staying at my sister's for three nights we headed into San Jose to stay with our friends for three nights. As a thank you I offered to take some portraits of their youngest! She is a little doll and although this was a super-quick session I think we got some great shots. Here are a few that caught my eye!
Another Senior!
